On August 17, 2024, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin attended the meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the 3rd Voice of the Global South Summit on the theme “Charting a Unique Paradigm for the Global South”.

During the meeting, the participants discussed topics of common interest, including climate change, transition to a green economy, poverty eradication, international trade and transnational supply chains.

S. Muhriddin, paying special attention to addressing climate change issues, mentioned the international initiatives of the Government of Tajikistan on water issues and glacier preservation, in particular, the UN resolution declaring 2025 as the “International Year of Glaciers’ Preservation” and March 21 “World Day for Glaciers”.
